A Hindenburg report has alleged financial irregularities and stock manipulation in stocks of Adani group companies with the Opposition demanding a joint parliamentary committee probe into the issue.
With Opposition surrounding the Narendra Modi-led government over the Hindenburg report on the Adani Group of companies, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that there is "nothing" for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to "hide or be afraid of". In an interview with news agency ANI, which was aired on Tuesday (February 14, 2023), Shah also said that it will not be appropriate for him to comment on the issue as the Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the matter.
"The Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the matter. As a minister, if the Supreme Court is seized of the matter it is not right for me to comment. But in this, there is nothing for the BJP to hide and nothing to be afraid of," Shah told ANI.
