Bomb Threat Email at Taj Palace Delhi Declared Hoax

The Taj Palace hotel in Delhi received a bomb threat via email early Saturday, sparking a swift response from law enforcement. According to the Delhi Police, the threatening message arrived around 2 am on the hotel’s official email account, warning that multiple improvised explosive devices (IEDs) had been planted on various floors. The email also carried a chilling message claiming all guests would be “sent to god.”

Hotel staff immediately alerted authorities, following which a bomb detection and disposal squad, along with sniffer dogs, were dispatched to the site. Security personnel cordoned off the area, and a thorough search of the premises was conducted.

Police later confirmed that no suspicious objects were found, declaring the threat a hoax. “After extensive checks, nothing incriminating was recovered,” a senior officer said.

The threat came just a day after a similar hoax email was reported to the Delhi High Court, in which an anonymous sender had claimed that three bombs had been planted in the building. That message, too, was traced back to Outlook.com and later confirmed as false.

Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the source of both emails, emphasizing that such acts create unnecessary panic and waste critical resources.
